Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Claude Watermarks Pro (“we,” “us,” or “the Service”) operates claudewatermarks.pro. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. We are based in the United States. Questions can be sent to claudewatermarks@gmail.com.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. If you sign up, we collect your email address, and, if you use Google to sign in, the basic profile information Google shares with us (name and email).
  • Content you submit. The text you paste into the detector or remover is sent to our AI processing provider (DeepSeek) to be analyzed or rewritten, and is also analyzed locally by our own pattern-matching logic. See “Third parties” below for what that means for you.
  • History. If you are signed in, we store the text you submit, the result (score, rewritten text, and analysis), and the time of each run, so you can view it later on the History page. This is not collected for anonymous (not signed in) use.
  • Usage data. To enforce free-usage limits for anonymous visitors, we store a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address (not the IP address itself), together with which feature you used and when. Signed-in usage is tracked against your account instead.
  • Cookies. We use cookies required for you to stay signed in (set by our authentication provider, Supabase). We do not use advertising or cross-site-tracking cookies.

2. How we use this information

To operate and provide the detector and remover features; to maintain your account and history; to enforce usage limits fairly; to send account-related email (sign-in links, confirmations); to detect and prevent abuse of the Service; and to improve the Service over time.

3. Third parties we share data with

We don’t sell your personal information. We use the following providers to operate the Service, each of which processes data on our behalf:

  • DeepSeek: an AI provider based outside the United States. Text you submit to the detector or remover is sent to DeepSeek’s API to be processed. This means submitted text is transferred internationally and is subject to DeepSeek’s own processing. Avoid submitting text you aren’t comfortable being processed this way.
  • Supabase: authentication and database hosting for accounts and history.
  • Resend: delivery of account-related emails.
  • Google: if you choose to sign in with Google.
  • Hostinger: web hosting infrastructure for the site itself.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Service, its users, or others.

4. Data retention

History entries are kept until you delete them yourself (available directly on the History page) or until you request account deletion. Anonymous usage-tracking hashes are kept only as long as needed to enforce free-usage limits.

5. Your rights

You can view and delete individual history entries at any time from the History page. This does not require contacting us. To access, correct, or delete your account and all associated data entirely, email claudewatermarks@gmail.com. We do not yet have automatic self-service account deletion, so this is currently handled manually on request.

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information, so the last of these is not applicable in practice.

6. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the Service and provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical measures (encrypted connections, access controls, database-level row-security policies restricting each account to its own data) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

8. International users

The Service is operated from the United States, and submitted text is additionally processed internationally by DeepSeek as described above. By using the Service, you consent to your information being processed in these locations.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
