Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of claudewatermarks.pro, operated by Claude Watermarks Pro (“we,” “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. What the Service is

Claude Watermarks Pro provides a text detector and a text rewriter aimed at AI-writing patterns. The detector analyzes text for stylistic patterns commonly associated with LLM-generated writing, using a combination of local heuristics and an AI model. The remover rewrites text to reduce those patterns.

This Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic PBC. “Claude” is Anthropic’s product. Our detector does not decode any cryptographic watermark Anthropic may embed in Claude’s output (no public detector for that exists), and our results are a stylistic pattern estimate, not a certified or guaranteed determination of whether text is AI-generated or AI-watermarked.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may only use it with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when creating an account.

4. Usage limits and plans

The Service currently offers limited free usage for anonymous visitors and higher (but still limited) usage for signed-in accounts. These limits, and the features available for free, may change, and we may introduce paid plans in the future. We don’t guarantee that any current level of free access will continue indefinitely.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of any text you submit. By submitting text, you grant us a limited license to process it (including by sending it to third-party AI providers, as described in our Privacy Policy) solely to provide the Service to you. You’re responsible for making sure you have the right to submit whatever text you paste in. Don’t submit others’ confidential or personal information, or content you don’t have rights to.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything illegal, or to submit unlawful content;
• Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or abuse usage limits or security measures;
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or build a competing service from the Service;
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service or other users’ access to it;
• Use the Service to violate any academic institution’s, employer’s, publisher’s, or other applicable policy regarding the disclosure or use of AI-generated or AI-assisted content. That responsibility is yours, not ours.

7. No professional or legal advice

Results from the detector and remover are estimates based on stylistic patterns, not certified proof of authorship. Don’t rely on them as the sole basis for academic-integrity decisions, legal proceedings, employment decisions, publication decisions, or any other high-stakes determination about whether text is AI-generated or human-written.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t guarantee the detector will correctly identify AI-generated text, or that the remover will make text undetectable by any particular detection method or tool, including ours.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Claude Watermarks Pro will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time, and may request deletion of your account by emailing claudewatermarks@gmail.com.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms or change the Service (including features, limits, and pricing) as we develop it further. We’ll update the “Last updated” date when we change these Terms; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
